We had a follow up today for Jeff's surgery- It has been 2 weeks and the doctor said Jeff is progressing well and the healing process looks like it is going well. They took more x-rays to see how the bones were healing, and let us take home some photocopies. It's hard to see where the bones actually broke, but with the crazy directions that the screws are in, you can kind of tell how bad the break was.
The breaks on Jeff's wedding ring finger went up into the joint, so he is really going to have to work to get his finger to straighten and bend the way that it used to.
Jeff now just has to wrap his ring finger and wear two straps around his fingers that work as a splint but still allow for some movement.

Those x-rays are really interesting to look at. It is amazing that they are able to fix breaks like that. I am glad to hear that Jeff is progressing well.

Cool, I love looking at X-rays. They really put in a lot of screws! You might have to get your wedding ring a little bigger now. :)
