Maxton

Maxton is now probably close to 13 lbs! He is a tank! Super cute though! We put him in his little bear bunting outfit for the first time this weekend, and he looked so cuddly and funny! What a stud!

He is also starting to smile if we really work at it- it takes a little while to coax them out of him, but when he smiles big, it is so worth it! The picture is kind of a half smile, but still cute!

I know they say letting your baby sleep with you is a big no-no, but I love to cuddle with Maxton in the mornings after Jeff has left for work- and he looks so cute with his little head on the huge pillow!

Spoiled Puppy!!!

Okay, so I know that a 2 year old dog isn't really a puppy anymore, but Gracie is just such a sweet dog, that she'll always be a puppy to me- Anyway, we tend to be pushovers when it comes to our dogs, and Gracie has learned to sit under our feet when we are in the kitchen in hopes that we will accidently drop some of the human food that she enjoys so much! Sometimes we drop food on purpose just to see if the dogs will eat it... we have learned that they will eat pretty much anything except pickles! Saturday night I was making a dessert for an Elder's Quorum party, and thought it would be funny to drop some whipped cream for Gracie- She really liked it and looked so funny with it all over her face! And P.S.- her eyes are really a pretty brown... they look kind of messed up and scary in these pictures!

Jeff's Fun Fishing Trip

Last weekend, Jeff got to go on a guided fishing trip for a day. He went with Colorcraft and had a great time- He said the last time he actually went fishing, he was 5 years old and hated it! He was hoping this trip would be more exciting than what he remembered fishing to be- They left Thursday and stayed in Riggins, ID and spent Friday on a speed boat going up and down the Salmon River fishing for Steelhead. Jeff caught one, but it was native, so they were only able to take it out of the water long enough for a quick picture. (They weren't even supposed to take it out of the water, so Jeff feels pretty lucky to have gotten a picture with it) While taking the picture, the fish squirmed and slimed Jeff pretty good! I guess a slimy coat is the price he had to pay for breaking the fish rules!

Jeff also thought it was really cool that they got to see so many big horn sheep on the trip- the sheep were just on the sides of the river hanging out-

What's Been Going On

Here's a little of what's been going on in the past few weeks at our house-

Maxton made his first appearance at church a couple weeks ago- He was such a stud!
We had a few Halloween outfits for Maxton, so he was dressed in orange for a week!

Maxton has been pretty fussy and colicky, so we tried putting him on the dryer as someone suggested- he liked it, but we may need to get a larger laundry basket!

Jeff, along with family and friends, blessed Maxton this past Sunday. It was amazing- Jeff did a great job and Maxton didn't cry or fuss at all! (I was really stressed that he was going to scream through the whole thing) It was great to see all of our family and friends and we really appreciate the love and support that they've given us- I'm so lucky to have a beautiful little boy and a great husband who honors his Priesthood and is so in tune with the spirit-

Picture Day!!!

I have a very talented aunt, and two weeks ago she came up from Utah to take newborn pictures of Maxton. We played dress up with him and he did SO good! He stayed awake for 2 hours of pictures and didn't fuss with all the clothes changes! I was a little nervous how he would do for the naked pictures, but he only had 1 little accident! I am so excited with the pictures and love how they turned out!!! Here are a few of my favorites...
